hectic day
Today was such a fuckin hectic day.
I put my alarm on for 7am, coz i waz covering for drew at work.
At about 7.10 am mark phoned me, and i answered it, and he was alright about last thursday, he read my e-mail, and said i made a big deal about nothing, so things between us are o.k.
Anyways after he put the phone down, i was feeling so lazy, i could'nt get out of bed, i finally got up at 7.50 am, and was rushing to get ready coz i had to open the surgery doors at 8.30am sharpe, well anyways when i got there, i could see Dr peters car, but no patients , which meant that Dr P, had opened, so i went inside and everything was o.k, Dr P, did'nt say anything, but the problem began when Dr Randell arrived and Dr P, told her that there was a problem opening up in the morning, then she told me, that i can't keep doing this and that i needed to come on time, fuck i was only 10 mins late, and it was'nt even my shift, but that put me off, and Dr randell was in a bad mood, and to top things up, Maria one of the nurses Quit without giving any notice, that made Dr Randell even more angrier, and she had a go at Maria, which i thought was really offensive and out of order.
Then the right notes were not going up, she was angry with that, and then the printer got overloaded and the prescriptions got stuck, so me and zac had to sort that out before the DR's saw it.
Well anyways i went for my break at 12.15pm and came back at 1.00pm, by which time things had cooled down and Dr randell was on her break for an hour, everything was o.k, Adam came to work at 2pm, and karen asked him are you in a better mood today, and she asked him to sign a card and he said in abit coz his hands were cold, and then out of now-where they started arguing about a rumour that was going around the surgery that him and sam where more than just friends, ( that was the first time i heard about it) and he wanted to know who was spreading the rumours and what karen was gonna do to put a stop to it, and that when he found who it is he's gonna beat the crap out of them, during their argument i stayed out of it coz i did'nt wana get involved, i thought that Adam was gonna have a hump with me too, but he was o.k with and i made it clear to him that i knew nothing about these rumours, and he said he knew it was'nt me, he was so pissed off that he even wrote a letter giving four weeks notice of resignation and handed it to karen, i asked him, are you really gonna quit and he said yeah!
While i was sorting out some of the old junk, he started to help me, he did'nt have to but he did, anyways when i sorting the junk, i gave him a leaflet for smokers, he read it and on the bottom of the leaflet it said chloe pink, and he goes that i'm gonna call you pinky from now on, i hate that name, and he kept on anoying me by calling me pinky.
Well today he also did the filing, he just took it all from my hand, and then he went upstairs to type his letters.
When Dr Randell returned from her break, karen gave her the letter, so Apparently she had a chat to both of them and persuaded Adam to stay. Later on Dr Randell asked me if i ever teased Adam about Sam and i straigtout said No, she also said that he was very upset with this rumour.
Later on Dr Peters Came to the reception area and asked if i could make a quick cup of coffee for him, i asked if he would watch the reception for me, he said sure, so i went upstairs to the kitchen and saw a cup with coffee and sugar in it, obviously it was Adam's coz he was smoking in the loo, so what i did was add abit more coffee and sugar to his cup, and then i started to make the dr's coffee, but there was little water in the kettle, so i asked adam, is this your water i'm taking it, so i poured the water and re-filled the kettle for adam, when he came out the loo, we chatted abit, he told me that Dr Randell had asked him to apologize to karen, but he was'nt gonna do that, and he asked me who i thought it was who was spreading the rumours, i told him that it could be drew or amar.
Later on he was avoiding karen like a rash, he even told her to act like a manager and to get an education, i thought that was abit harsh, but i suppose if someone was spreading rumours about me, i would be angry too.
After that i finished my shift at 4.30pm, half an hour late, coz Anna was late and i had to wait until she arrived, so i said bye to Adam, chatted to Anna for a few minutes and then came home.
Todays, just been one of those long days, where everything happens at the same time. I don't think i'll be covering another shift for drew anytime soon.
